Grand Lodge has informed me that seven of our fifteen Local Lodges with CSXTN members have voted to request a full representational vote be taken by all members of CSXTN. Very soon, you will be sent a ballot from Grand Lodge and asked to vote to either leave the United General Committee or to stay with the United General Committee.
Brothers and Sisters,
The coverage of employees related to medical leave is an existing provision in our industry and with our current National Health and Welfare Plan (H&W). With the COVID-19 outbreak, many members are asking what they should do in certain circumstances.
In the past week we have been nearly exclusively dealing with the response to the COVID-19 outbreak. Some of these efforts have been noticeable and others, not so much. We have issued letters in response to Carrier instructions on Conrail, CSX, NS, and SEPTA.
The situation regarding the Coronavirus, CORVID-19 is rapidly evolving, the United General Committee has been receiving the same CORVID-19 notices that have been sent to you by the railroad and we have been coordinating with Grand Lodge and some of the other General Chairmen.
